“I started taking Pilates classes about 9 months ago and fell in love. I love the personal coaching experience and always feel like I am working out with a friend so when I am all over the place I don't feel judged.
I started doing nutrition coaching with Melinda in January. I think there were a lot of things I knew I needed to be doing, but didn't know how. Melinda broke everything down and let me incorporate each new thing one at a time so it wasn't overwhelming. I have never felt pressured to do anything that I am not able to, but I have been challenged to step outside my comfort zone.
When I tell my friends about the coaching I am getting I tell them that it isn't about weight loss, but becoming healthy from the inside out. This journey has truly been about healing my body so it can take care of me while I take care of it. I have kicked some bad habits and as an added bonus I am down a pants size. More than that I have been able to change how I look at food. When I go to make a meal I ask myself what those foods are going to do for my body and what I can add in to give my body what it needs to operate at its best. Simple exercises like being mindful before meal have helped so much in practicing gratitude for what I have rather than focusing on short comings.
